JAKARTA - PT Benakat Integra Tbk (BIPI) revealed in their third quarter 2015 financial report its current maturities of long term loans have reached US$299 million. Of the maturing loans total, US$294.8 million is classified as owed by Nixon, the subsidiary of PT Astrindo Mahakarya Indonesia to lender Credit Suisse, Singapore. As described by the company's 3Q15 financial report, Nixon is 'in breach of its financial covenants,' deferring on its US$37.1 million loan installment and US$12.3 million accrued interest expense. A bank syndicated loan of US$500 million will be distributed to BIPI's subsidiaries operating under PT Astrindo Mahakarya Indonesia. Financial issues are up before the bell, while Singapore's state-run Temasek Holdings posted a 26% drop in net profit for the latest fiscal year, but the value of its holdings rose 43% from a year ago to about $135 billion. China stepped up buying in Japanese government bonds, according to the Japanese Finance Ministry. Beijing bought 735.2 billion yen's worth of bonds in May. Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFJY) may invest as much as $5 billion in U.S. commercial banks over the next three years, according to Bloomberg.
